The 2012 NBA Draft will again be held at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. on June 28. Tickets are priced at $15, $20 and $30 and will be available at ticketmaster.com or the Prudential Center Box Office.

NEW YORK (AP) After a painful wait for a new owner, the search for a new star was a breeze for the New Orleans Hornets.

This year’s NBA draft is deep, but Anthony Davis is clearly the top prize. That makes the Hornets, who drew the No. 1 pick, the major winners in Tuesday’s lottery, writes Sam Amick.

The Hornets moved up three spots in the NBA draft lottery Wednesday night to land the No. 1 pick and, in the process, snatched the honor away from Charlotte, Washington and Cleveland.

The New Orleans Hornets won the 2012 NBA Draft Lottery in New York City on Wednesday night, earning the right to select the consensus No. 1 overall pick in this year’s class, University of Kentucky big man Anthony Davis.
